 The
headquarters and headquarters detachment provides the overall planning, guidance
and direction for all the efforts of the battalion. Our key leaders work
hand in hand with those of the 3rd Brigade and 42d Infantry Division to plan
both our wartime and peace time missions. Whether it's preparing to
conduct an annual training rotation, a warfighter exercise in places like Ft
Leavenworth, Puerto Rico or Germany, or supporting the citizens of the state of
New York like during the Ice Storm of 1998, the men and women of the HHD, 342
FSB have been and continue to be ready and able to meet the challenge.
